The warranty coverage begins on the Warranty Date, defined as either the date the Purchaser takes title to the home or when the Purchaser begins residential occupancy, whichever is earlier.

1 Year Basic Coverage
For the first year from the Warranty Date, the home is warranted against latent defects in:
Workmanship: Errors by Foundation Homes of CNY or its agents.
Constructed Elements: Defects in any structures. Defects are evaluated based on the New York State Building Code and Performance Standards.
Materials: Items that don't meet standards.
2 Year Major Systems Coverage
For two years from the Warranty Date, major systems are covered against latent defects, including:
Plumbing: Gas lines, water supply, and waste pipes
HVAC: Duct work and ventilation systems
Electrical: Wiring and connections
6 Years Major Structural Defect Coverage
For six years from the Warranty Date, the home is protected against Major Structural Defects due to:
Workmanship Failures: By Foundation Homes of CNY or its agents.
Design Issues: From engaged professionals. Major structural defects involve damage to load-bearing elements that affect safety and livability.
Materials: Not meeting standards.
